Los Dinamos is one of the most important protected natural areas in southwestern Mexico City. It is home to the Magdalena River, the last living river in the city, surrounded by more than 2,400 hectares of forest and mountains.

This place also has a fascinating history: during the Porfirio Díaz era, hydroelectric generators (“dynamos”) were installed here to provide electricity to the textile factories of La Magdalena Contreras.
