A baby whale suddenly appeared beside our small boat and began swimming right next to us. We could see its whole body just beneath the surface, its tail gliding slowly through the water, so close it felt almost unreal.
It stayed with us, moving calmly along the boat as if it was curious about who we were. Then, in a quiet, playful moment, the calf lifted its pectoral fin and gently slapped the water beside us — not loud or aggressive, just a soft splash, like a greeting.
For a few seconds, it felt like we were sharing the ocean together, side by side, before the baby whale slowly slipped back into the blue.
