Here are some of the bird photos from our recent Birding & Firefly Tour with our friends Mark and Lynda. 🐦✨

For this experience, we explored south of , visiting Lake Umécuaro and the Centro Ecoturistico Tres Cascadas. We had an excellent day birding and photographing the local avifauna, while also adding several new lifers to their personal lists.

Some of the specialties we found included Transvolcanic Jay, Gray-collared Becard, Dwarf Vireo, Golden Vireo, Botteri’s Sparrow, Cinnamon-bellied Flowerpiercer, and Spotted Wren. 📸🐦

More than a week ago, this male Red-breasted Chat was very confident, singing at dusk in the dry forest of southern Nayarit. In the background, you can also hear the Lesser-ground Cuckoo, which was also very active that afternoon.
