This is not surprising!

Mexico has officially taken the top spot as the friendliest country in the world according to the Global Friendliness Index 2025. The ranking is based on how welcoming locals are to visitors, how easy it is to form friendships, and how safe and comfortable people feel while living or traveling there.

Travelers and expats alike pointed to everyday kindness, strong hospitality, and deep community spirit as key reasons for Mexico’s top placement. From lively cities to quiet villages and coastal towns, many described a culture where warmth and openness are part of daily life.

We built a soccer field for the kids of Cucapa El Mayor with this years' donation from the Rio Hardy Community Fund. We cleared the brush from an area adjacent to the playground, brought in and graded 105 cubic meters of sand and fabricated steel goal posts. They kids are really loving it!

Our Cucapa El Mayor volunteer fire department responded to a house fire at Campo Mosqueda last week. They were first on the scene and were able to keep it in check until the professionals arrived about 15 minutes later!
