Our most recent 6-hour fishing trip with our good friend Mark was one to remember! We caught plenty of skipjack for bait, battled a hard-fighting jack crevalle, and landed a beautiful roosterfish that absolutely crushed one of our live skipjacks.

Of course, out of the four live baits in the spread, it chose the only one rigged with a J-hook! That’s fishing.

Great action, plenty of drag-screaming runs, and all of it happened in the waters close to home. We can’t wait to get back out there!

A little update from our end —

First off, we want to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out and asked how they could help. The amount of support and love we’ve received truly means the world to us.

Unfortunately, our 40ft sport fisher — the heart and soul of Reel Dreams and the boat that helped build Reel Dreams into what it is today — will be out of operation for the foreseeable future. We are currently working with insurance and still do not know what the next steps will be for the boat.

With that being said, Reel Dreams is still running strong. We will continue operating our 28ft panga and 31ft Grady White and look forward to getting everyone out on the water.

For anyone looking to fish aboard a 40ft boat, our family has generously offered his boat to help us during this difficult time. The crew aboard the 40ft that will be used in the meantime will remain the same Reel Dreams crew, so you can still expect the same experience, service, and familiar faces out on the water.

We truly can’t thank everyone enough for the support, kind words, and encouragement through all of this. We’ll continue to keep everyone updated as we learn more. ❤️
