We went to check out a new birding spot today, Ecoturismo Arroyo Guacamaya, Oaxaca, México -2024 and had lots of fun seeing old favorite and some new ones for me. There Grey Silky Flycatchers were having a moment on the wire.

We made an exception yesterday and brought return guests to Monte Alban. While sitting outside the museum, a gentleman asked first if I spoke English. Once confirmed, he asked me how much it was to get in. Then he asked, "I've been to Chichen Itza, is this much different? Is there much to see?"

I told him it was a little different.

There is a big sign at the entrance to Mitla that says, "No Pets". These pups said they were not pets and walked right in. Cheeky.

We had a fantastic day on Christmas Day at Hierve el Agua. It was our last time there in 2024 and we are taking the tour off our official offerings going forward. We have been touring Hierve el Agua for ten years, minus about a year during COVID. The site is as special as always. Even after being there over 300 times, the wonder of nature here never fail to leave me in awe.

Apoala on Friday with guests from Australia and David driving (Ralph had a bass guitar gig in the early evening). I thought this pic that David snapped was a great ad for us. Captioned with something like: If you don't come back from your tour with evidence of having had this much fun, you picked the wrong tour company..

Yesterday we toured our Site, Swim and Sip tour, and then dropped off Fern and Sy at the airport. They had asked to see a church instead of an archeological site, so we started off at Santo Domingo, and ended with Mezcal. A perfect day.

There are a lot of things we love about our work, and this Day of the Dead we are spolied with two. Return guests and new adventures. With Doreen and Kevin in Suchilquiltongo and CASA in San Agustin Etla.

We've been out birding. There was so much water at La Presita we were taken by surprise. Bird count was low, it's before the migratory birds arrive and frankly there was too much water for some of the usual suspects to have anything to eat.
