Our highlights from a fun filled 4 days in Playa del Carmen 🇲🇽

We stayed in a private apartment a short walk from Cala 38 which is located at the end of 5th Avenue, it was a perfect location for exploring the beautiful beaches and incredible food spots!

Life feels like it’s going at 100mph at the moment and we haven’t even entered our ‘busy’ period yet 🙃

I always love looking back through photos and reminding myself that being busy with general family life is a privilege and something I’m always grateful for though🫶🏻

In no particular order, here’s what we’ve been up to recently (with a mini story time on an epic mum fail at the end):

1) Stealing anytime I can to work on travel quotes 🌍

2) The sun made an appearance on our weekend away to Bluestone with our besties

3) Bubblegum icecream at 10am because why not 🤷🏼‍♀️

4) World book day costume aka picking an outfit from the dressing up box

5) Roo turned 5 and had the BEST party celebrating with his friends

6) Fully in his football era - training to be Ronaldo when he’s older apparently

7) Saja Boys birthday fit

8) An impromptu child free meal out 🫶🏻

9) Brunch with the girls - 0 photos taken as we didn’t stop yapping

10) Roo passed his Stage 2 swimming

11) Macie-Mae’s 1st birthday 💕

12) Dog walk in the sunshine

13) Muddy park dates

14) Dog walks in the rain

15) Saturday evenings snuggled on the sofa watching Gladiators

16) Also very much in his Lego era

17) Went down a road that said no access, so parked as close as I could to the birthday party venue. Turned out I wasn’t that close and had to walk back in the pouring rain, in pitch black to the car that was parked at a graveyard - 10/10 mum fail 👏🏻

Forever saying we need to stop making so many plans and slow down but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Starting something new is always a bit scary… but the funny thing is, you never really know what you’re capable of until you just go for it.

Becoming an independent travel agent started as a simple “let’s see what happens” moment — and it’s turned into something I genuinely love being part of.

It’s given me a flexible way to earn, a new sense of confidence, and a reminder that small decisions can lead to bigger opportunities than you expect.

If anything, this has shown me that saying yes to something new can open doors you didn’t even know were there. ✨

Spontaneous Sundays for the win 🤩

We had a weekend at home this weekend and it’s been so nice to catch up with house jobs but still have time to squeeze in lots of fun!

Anyone else find unplanned days out are sometimes more fun than things you’ve had in the calendar for months!?

Since becoming a mum, I’ve constantly felt the pull between wanting to continue building career and wanting to be there for every moment with Reuben.

For a long time, I thought it had to be one or the other.

But at an event surrounded by 3,000 women building flexible, successful businesses in the travel industry, I realised something - it doesn’t have to be.

These women are creating financial freedom and earning an additional income around their families, not instead of them.

That was the moment everything clicked.

Booked a really special trip for a dad heading out to meet his daughter in Brazil while she’s travelling 🇧🇷✨

He’d already sorted his flights, so I arranged the hotel and private transfer - a little reminder that you don’t need to book a full package with me. I can help with just the parts you need 🙌

We looked at the key beach areas; Leme, Copacabana and Ipanema and I pulled together a proposal highlighting the vibe and benefits of each.

Copacabana is iconic and full of energy, Ipanema has that stylish, trendier feel… but Leme had the perfect mix of what he was looking for.

It’s at the quieter end of Copacabana, steps from the beach with the same postcard views but calmer, safer and more relaxed. Perfect for a stress-free base with easy access to the airport and Rio’s must-see spots 🌴☀️
