Can we normalize, TRAVEL ADVISORS DON’T TRAVEL FOR FREE!
It's time to set the record straight: travel advisors are not handed free trips. We are sales people who invest considerable effort into traveling to different locations to evaluate them for our clients. I invest tremendously into my business! Although high sales may result in invitations from tour operators or hotels for a complimentary night's stay, it's important to recognize that these invitations are earned through our commitment to our clients and our profession. As you may see it as a vacation, it’s not. It’s my job as a travel professional to scout out various destinations before I refer them to my clients. This is one of the reasons my business is very successful. I do not sit behind a computer and look up resorts and destinations. I travel to these destinations to build relationships with hotel, resorts, tour operators, etc. I’m constantly attending conferences to educate myself. This is not for free! Please recognize we are service based. Just as you pay time for an attorney, most vetted and qualified travel advisors charge a fee. (my loyal clients do not pay a fee to me) This is my after retirement decision to invest in something I love which is travel. I pride myself on giving you the best experience for YOUR travel. My time is very valuable for me. I don’t have time to waste. I’ve earned my respect in the travel industry. I understand, I may not be for everyone and I’m okay with it. Many people see the value in my expertise and those are my
clients I will serve. Thank you for those who understand and continue to support
