This weekend I did a pre-ride of one of the incredible sections on my upcoming Ride Canada’s Pacific Coast Tour this September! (With Freedom Biker Tours )

I’m currently on BC Ferry’s Coastal Celebration, heading back to the mainland after an unforgettable overnight loop around southern Vancouver Island. I rode the Pacific Marine Circle Route counter-clockwise, starting south from Nanaimo and through Lake Cowichan to Sooke.

Riding beneath the mossy rainforest canopy and tracking the rugged Juan de Fuca coastline along Highway 14 was absolute motorcycle heaven—made even better by catching up with wonderful riding friends along the way.

I topped off the adventure with a night of solo camping tucked deep in the coastal woods at Sandlot Wilderness Campground near Shirley. Wrapping up the ride with views across the Salish Sea on the ferry was the perfect finale.

And no, we don’t camp on this tour, we actually stay in some gorgeous premium hotel accommodations.
