🤝🏼 Join Us 🥳 Neil has led experiences in the great outdoors for decades including work as a park ranger (Arizona) and a guide/instructor of whitewater rafting, rock climbing, canyoneering, backpacking, and mountain biking (several states i
n both Mexico and the US). For his first ten years in Mexico he served as director of the Vallarta Botanical Garden which allowed him opportunities to lead expeditions with botanists, biologists, and photographers of national and international acclaim. Neil has an excellent ability to tailor experiences featuring compelling destinations and exciting itineraries that balance travel and activities with time to learn and reflect. As a professional educator with a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of New Hampshire, he’s always on the look out for optimizing “teachable moments” to inspire learning while keeping the momentum of adventure right on course. When recruiting guides and instructors, Neil selects those whose credentials, technical abilities, and experience are matched and tempered with empathy, sound decision making, and a knack for fostering positive group dynamics. Guides maintain safety as the paramount priority for all of Ajolote Adventures’ tours and courses yet constantly search for ways to engage and challenge participants as individuals and collectively as a group. After all, as much as we delight in alluring destinations and relish each step of a journey, in the end, it's the company we travel with and the friendships we forge that have the greatest ability to transform.
