Frida Kahlo used to come to Xochimilco for a peaceful trajinera ride, drifting through these canals that the Aztecs carved over 1,000 years ago.

The chinampas (otherwise known as "floating gardens") she knew are still farmed today: the same variations of corn, beans, and herbs that once fed Tenochtitlan - the capital of the Aztec empire. We visit a working Chinampa farm with Arca Tierra; feel your hands in the soil, and eat lunch that was harvested steps from the table. Swipe through for a closer look.

Baja's w**e country brings out a different side to Mexico.

We've spent years working the valley, tasting through the small-production vineyards, sitting side by side with the w**emakers.

We know who's pouring the best glass in the valley right now, and they're ready to welcome our guests.

The streets of San Miguel are full of surprises.

A colorful facade hiding a courtyard full of bougainvillea. A rooftop bar tucked above the noise, with a cozy view over the whole city. A restored hacienda now home to an artist's workshop, or a gallery you need to be in the know about.

We're always ready to wander and discover.

Most Los Cabos itineraries never leave the resort. Ours does.

Inland, hiking trails few visitors find. Todos Santos, a short drive away, is an artist town with real history behind it. Out on the water, Espíritu Santo is a volcanic island with white sand, clear water, and a resident sea lion colony. And up in the outback, Baja's cowboys are still working the land the way they always have.

The resort is where the trip starts. It's not where it stays.

Early morning is our favorite time to wander Puebla's historic streets.

Stalls selling steaming atole to sip as you stroll the leafy central plaza. The sound of bells ringing out from the towers of a 17th century cathedral. Grand colonial architecture bathed in soft sunlight before the city wakes up. The reward is in the romance of the moment.

Oaxaca City's best tasting menu is out on its cobblestone streets, moving corner to corner with the vendors who've been making this food the same way for decades.

A cacao drink whipped to foam by hand. Tamales still warm from the basket. A memela crumbled with fresh cheese. We'll guide you through the stories behind each mouthwatering dish.

Twenty-three years ago, we started here in Mexico with a simple belief: exploration connects and enriches people, places, and the planet. Today that belief has grown into a family of locally led travel companies across Latin America, and we’re unveiling the new brand that brings us all together.

Journey Mexico stays exactly what it’s always been: locally led, independently B Corp certified, and built on relationships earned over two decades.

Our new look draws on the chakana, a sacred Indigenous symbol of connection and balance, shaped into a keyhole. A key to Latin America.
