Quimixto es un pueblito de pescadores escondido al sur de Puerto Vallarta, rodeado de exuberante selva y playas tranquilas. Uno de sus mayores atractivos es una impresionante cascada escondida en la montaña, donde puedes caminar, explorar y hasta nadar en una refrescante alberca natural.

Aunque existen rutas por tierra hacia Quimixto, la realidad es que no son seguras ni adecuadas para vehículos. Son caminos de terracería, estrechos y en malas condiciones, donde los carros simplemente no pueden pasar.
Solo algunos locales se aventuran a recorrerlos en motocicletas de dos ruedas, pero aun así, puede ser peligroso, especialmente en temporada de lluvias o cuando el terreno está resbaloso.
