Gyotaku (魚拓, from gyo "fish" + taku "stone impression")

For centuries, fishermen in Japan have been creating ink prints of fish and sea species in a practice known as Gyotaku (魚拓) or “fish rubbing” in English. Originally used to record catches or brag about them in front of others, Gyotaku later became a recognized art form.

The gyotaku method of printmaking uses fish, sea creatures, or similar subjects as its 'printing plates'. Prints were made using sumi ink and washi paper. It is rumored that samurai would settle fishing competitions using gyotaku prints. This original form of gyotaku, as a recording method for fisherman, is still utilized today, and can be seen hanging in tackle shops in Japan.

This private, clean, quiet, safe, and cozy space can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests, ideal for couples, a group of friends, a family with kids or single travelers who will experience the authentic Mexican pueblito life.

Just a couple of minutes from up to 12 + surfing spots, 40 min drive from PVR airport, and a 15 - 30 min drive to Sayulita, San Pancho, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Bucerias. Also, the public transportation at just 5 min walk will take you to and from PVR, surroundings.

In the main entrance, you'll find an outside deck shower and hose to take of sand from your board and yourself. Once Inside this private complex you'll find a beautiful garden and outdoor terrace, the perfect place for morning coffee or a fresh air dinner; a large clothesline to dry your wet stuff, spacious common areas like a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony.
