With the announcement of Spirit Airlines closing effective today, you now need to be prepared for higher pricing across the board with other airlines, limited availability on other carriers, longer lines as people switch airports & terminals still trying to get to their original destinations.
While you may not have flown on Spirit, this is bad for the whole industry.

I saw a segment telling people to “use” a travel advisor for advice… and then go book it themselves.

No. That’s not a hack. That’s not smart travel. That’s just misunderstanding how this business works.

This is my full-time career. Not a hobby. Not something I do “for fun.”

When I’m working on a trip, I’m:
• researching resorts
• comparing options
• matching the right fit to the right client
• sharing firsthand insight you can’t Google
• and being there when things don’t go as planned

And here’s the part most people don’t realize…I’m paid by the supplier AFTER you travel. Sometimes I work on these trips and people don't travel for 18 months so I wait that long to get paid for my work.

So when you cut me out after I’ve done the work, you’re not saving money…you’re just choosing not to support the person who helped you get there.

If you want to DIY your trip—go for it. Truly.
But if you reach out to a professional, respect the process. Because this isn’t just “travel planning.” It’s how I run my business. It’s how I support my family. And it’s something I take a lot of pride in doing well.
