With the announcement of Spirit Airlines closing effective today, you now need to be prepared for higher pricing across the board with other airlines, limited availability on other carriers, longer lines as people switch airports & terminals still trying to get to their original destinations.
While you may not have flown on Spirit, this is bad for the whole industry.

Puerto Vallarta Update: Things are moving back to normal. The airport is operating (no, it wasn't destroyed or on fire) and businesses are open. The US announced today that while there is still an elevated threat level that it has lifted its warning of traveling to the destination.

For those worried about going to Cancun/Riviera Maya, here is a great graphic for perspective. I returned yesterday from Playa del Carmen and there were zero issues or disruptions over the weekend.

Meanwhile, in my state of Missouri, there was a police shootout with 3 people dead and a few others injured. You should always travel to your comfort level but it is very important to be informed from reliable sources and not AI images or click bait.
