Good Morning from Las Brisas Birding! 🐦

Today at Las Brisas, we’re enjoying the sights and sounds of some of our favorite residents here in San Blas. Before the sun has even made its appearance, the property is already coming alive with an incredible chorus of birdsong.

The unmistakable call of the Great Kiskadee, the beautiful Yellow-winged Cacique, the lively San Blas Jay, the distinctive Rufous-bellied Chachalaca, the striking Masked Tityra, and the beautiful Cinnamon-bellied Saltator are just a few of the many species that can make an early morning at Las Brisas so special.

There is something magical about these quiet moments before sunrise. The air is cool and peaceful, the Pacific is beginning to glow on the horizon, and the gardens and surrounding tropical landscape slowly awaken to the sounds of nature. For us, this is one of the great pleasures of birding in San Blas—the opportunity to simply sit, listen, observe, and enjoy.
