Julian joined us early that morning as we departed from San José del Cabo, heading east toward the legendary Iman Bank. The sea was calm, the sun just beginning to rise, and anticipation hung in the air. Suddenly, the silence was shattered by one of the most spectacular sights... A massive Wahoo erupted from the surface, launching several feet into the sky like a missile, under Julian’s astonished eyes... The predator sliced our live bait clean in half before crashing back into the water. Without hesitation, the fish returned for the second piece, igniting chaos as the reel screamed and the drag began to smoke. Our captain reacted instantly, seizing the rod before passing it to Julian, who braced himself for the fight of a lifetime. For several intense minutes, Julian battled the beast, the line cutting through the water as the Wahoo tried every trick to break free. The struggle was fierce, the adrenaline overwhelming, yet Julian held his ground with determination. Finally, after a relentless contest of strength and skill, he managed to bring the giant aboard. Fishing Report – Brooke & Her Husband Matt

What a great morning offshore from San José del Cabo Marina! Brooke and her husband Matt joined us just after sunrise, hoping for some action, and the ocean delivered.

After finding clean blue water, one of the trolling rods came tight and the reel started screaming. Brooke grabbed the rod and stayed cool through several strong runs while her husband cheered her on and helped throughout the fight. A few minutes later, a gorgeous Mahi Mahi lit up beneath the boat, showing off its incredible blue, green, and golden colors.

With a smooth finish, we brought this beautiful fish aboard, making it the highlight of the day. It was an exciting battle, plenty of laughs, and a memory the two of them won't forget.

The strike came suddenly, the rod bent under crushing force, and the ocean revealed its champion: a massive yellowfin tuna. The fish dove deep, pulling line with unstoppable power, each surge demanding patience and grit. Minutes stretched into eternity as the reel screamed and the fight raged, the sea echoing with the struggle between two determined anglers and one relentless giant.

The battle was pure endurance. Abby and Pamela held firm, muscles burning, refusing to surrender. Every run was a reminder of the tuna’s raw strength, every pause a chance to regain focus before the next surge. Yesterday morning, we were out on the water with Karim from Montreal, lines set and spirits high, the early sun casting a golden glow across the calm surface of the sea.

Karim had a live mullet trolling just behind the boat, the bait skipping gently in our wake, when suddenly the surface exploded... an enormous Roosterfish smashed through the top water with astonishing force, grabbing the bait in a violent, unmistakable strike that sent spray flying in every direction.

The fish dove deep instantly, the reel screamed as line peeled off at incredible speed, and Karim locked in, muscles tight against the rod, feet braced firmly on the deck. The battle unfolded before us in dramatic fashion, furious runs toward the horizon, sudden pauses that made our hearts race, and relentless, raw power surging from the fish each time it seemed to tire. Every surge and shift pulled us closer to the edge of our seats, none of us daring to look away.

After a long, thrilling fight that tested both patience and strength, Karim finally brought the massive Roosterfish alongside the boat. Its silver body gleamed brilliantly in the sunlight, and the proud, sail-like comb stood tall on its back...a true trophy of the sea, earned through skill and determination.

We cheered, laughed, and celebrated, high-fiving under the open sky. It was another unforgettable morning etched deep into our memories, with Karim's determination and the Sea of Cortez's roar sealing the story forever.

Yesterday morning, Noah experienced the fishing adventure of a lifetime when he locked into the biggest rooster fish he've ever encountered. The moment this absolute monster spotted our live mullet bait, it didn't hesitate, it exploded on the surface with raw power and aggression, that iconic dorsal fin blazing as it devoured the offering in one devastating strike.
What followed was an intense, adrenaline-pumping battle that tested every ounce of Noah's skill and determination. This fish was built like a tank, massive, muscular, and incredibly strong. It fought relentlessly: powerful runs, acrobatic head-shaking jumps, and deep dives that had our hearts pounding.
The battle stretched on, with the fish refusing to yield easily. Noah showed tremendous composure, working the rod with precision and patience, reading every movement and adjusting his strategy perfectly.

A few days ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sani aboard our charter, and what an unforgettable outing it turned out to be. From the moment we set out, the ocean seemed alive with promise, and before long, schools of large mahi mahi appeared, flashing their brilliant colors just beneath the surface. The excitement was immediate...rods bent, reels screamed, and the energy on deck soared. Sani was right in the middle of the action, and his enthusiasm was contagious. Every strike brought cheers, every fight with those powerful fish tested skill and strength, and every successful landing was celebrated with laughter. One of the highlights was the magnificent mahi mahi captured in the photo, a perfect symbol of the thrill that day. As the charter owner, it is always rewarding to see guests experience the pure joy of fishing, and Sani truly had a blast. By early afternoon, they returned to the marina with smiles on faces, tired but satisfied, carrying not only the catch but also the memory of a remarkable adventure. EXCEPTIONAL YELLOWFIN TUNA ACTION – FISHING SAN JOSE DEL CABO – MID MARCH 2026 UPDATE

It was a remarkable day of fishing San Jose del Cabo as Burt from Boulder, Colorado, joined us for an adventure he had dreamed of for years: catching a yellowfin tuna on a fly rod. The waters around Cabo are famous for their variety, making them a prime destination for anglers worldwide. Burt arrived early, ready for his fishing experience in San Jose del Cabo.

The morning was perfect: clear skies, a light breeze, and the anticipation of what lay ahead. As we set out, the welcoming spirit of the fishing Cabo community added to the excitement. Soon, we spotted a school of Yellowfin tuna, and Burt’s eyes lit up as he prepared his cast.

Dorothy joined our tuna fishing trip off San José del Cabo last morning and turned the day into one to remember.

From first light she was all smiles and steady hands, quickly learning the rhythm of the rods and helping bait and rig with calm confidence. By mid-morning a powerful strike sent the crew into motion...Dorothy fought alongside the captain, keeping cadence and staying focused as we worked the fish toward the boat.

Her persistence paid off with a beautiful, hard-fighting yellowfin tuna brought aboard to cheers. Throughout the trip she asked thoughtful questions about techniques and local marine life, showing genuine respect for the ocean and the team.

After a few photos and careful handling for a sustainable release of one smallers fish, we celebrated over cold drinks and fresh sea breeze. Dorothy’s enthusiasm, team spirit, and keen curiosity made the morning fun and smooth for everyone on board...she’s welcome back any time for more tuna fishing in Cabo.
