This , we're revisiting the conservation actions shared during World Migratory Bird Day 2023 and its theme, "Water: Sustaining Bird Life."

Plastic pollution doesn't stay where it's discarded. It moves through rivers, wetlands, coastlines, and oceans, affecting the habitats that migratory birds rely on throughout their journeys.

From seabirds that mistake plastic for food to shorebirds that depend on clean beaches and coastal ecosystems, birds are impacted by the waste that enters our waterways.

You can help by:

Reducing single-use plastics

Properly disposing of waste and recycling when possible

Participating in local cleanups

Choosing reusable products

Sharing information about the impacts of plastic pollution

Small actions add up when communities work together.

This World Ocean Month, help keep plastic out of our waterways and oceans. Because when we protect water, we protect birds.
