Cozumel and Yucatán península birding adventures with Elvis.

Our 3 days expedition trip report.
After a very succesfull morning birding on Cozumel and finding all 3 endémics species, Cozumel Vireo, Cozumel emerald, Cozumel wren and some Yucatan península endemics such as the Yucatán vireo and yucatan woodpecker, we went across to the mainland.

On our second day we got Ocellated turkey, Black cowled oriole, Yellow backed oriole, Yucatán Jay, Green jay, northern barred woodcreeper, this was a great day with a total of 89 species.

Our 3rd and last morning we visited a great birding spot where we found some great and endemic species such as a beautiful male Rose throates tanager, Gray throated chat and we also got, Tropical royal flycatcher, Yellow olive flatbill, Long billed gnatcatcher and more.

We found a total of 140 species and had a great time.

An amazing morning birding with my new friends from USA, i met them early morning and we had a great start right at the meeting point, we went to a couple different locations and we managed to find 59 species of birds including the endemics and many other beautiful species.

An amazing morning with my new friend Stephanie from USA, we found all 3 endemics Cozumel emerald, vireo and wren, and a lot of the sub species from Cozumel, Stephanie even got me a lifer, the Red breasted merganser, we ended our day with a total of 73 species.

Well, today i had the pleasure to guide new friends from USA and even known we had a late start, we managed to find 57 species of birds, the highlights for them the Olive throated parakeet and the endemic Cozumel emerald hummingbird of course.
