Sea turtle nesting season is almost here...from late summer to early fall, Sandy Beach and other Puerto Peñasco beaches have sea turtles arriving to nest.

These amazing creatures are essential to the balance of our marine ecosystems. 🌍 Their presence helps sustain ocean life and brings countless benefits to our planet.

But today, more than ever, their survival is at risk. Plastic pollution and climate change are threatening their life cycle. 💔

📍 Every year, from late summer to early fall, the beaches of Puerto Peñasco become a temporary home for sea turtles arriving to nest.

At , we work closely with local agencies to protect them recovering their nests, safely incubating their eggs, and releasing the hatchlings when the time is right. 💚

If you haven't eaten at La Negrita Restaurante before when you've been here in Rocky Point, I highly recommend you check them out! Good food and nice people!
Also, decently gluten free friendly if you have that need (just talk to them about it - they seem to understand gluten free needs, as I believe one of them has a gluten allergy or sensitivity). I believe when we were there last they even had tortilla chips that were gluten free friendly (because they were not fried in a fryer with things that are not gluten free). And before you come at me, if you don't have a gluten allergy, and you don't understand how true gluten allergies and sensitivities work, please know that it's not as "easy" as you think. :-) People with gluten sensitivities and gluten allergies that are super sensitive to cross contamination can't have french fries at most places because they fry them in the same oil as onion rings and wheat coated chicken strips, etc. And no, just because they are tortilla chips, that doesn't make them safe for those who truly need to be gluten free - either because of the oil they are fried in or because the corn tortillas used are part corn and part wheat (which is actually common, particularly in Mexico). So, I'm only mentioning La Negrita as being one of the places I've been able to have the chips and salsa at, because I personally know how difficult it can be to eat out, especially in a foreign country, with a gluten allergy. So, if you don's have a gluten allergy, be thankful, and also enjoy La Negrita, because their food is delicious - both for those with gluten allergies/sensitivities and those without. :-)

If you haven't tried out Pane e Vino Ristorante before, I highly regimens you give them a try! They have 2 restaurants in one. The lower level is a casual food place and I've heard the upstairs is more upscale. We keep saying we're going to try the upstairs, but we love the downstairs so much we always end up just going there. Lol
What's your experience with Pane e Vino? Upstairs or downstairs? I would love to hear!

You can watch it from our amazing balcony! They will be going by twice, right in front of our condo. Once heading west and then turning around and heading back to the port.
I've heard some boats are even shooting off fireworks.
This is one of my favorite events but since we have our extended family Christmas celebrations that day, we can't be there, so our loss can be your gain. 🎄

One of the cute boutique shops right outside Sonoran Spa resort (where Seabreeze Rocky Point Mexico Vacation Rental is located) is Plaza Fabiola (they have a Rodeo Drive location and the Sandy Beach location right by us.) and they also opened La Cava Boutique de Vinos right next door, early this year. They do wine tastings and have different offerings each week. If that is something that interests you, you've got to check it out next time you're in Rocky Point! And it's a pleasant walk right outside our front gates. If you go and check them out, I would love to hear your experience!
Also, Plaza Fabiola carries the amazing Upper Sea of Cortez (Puerto Penasco and San Felipe) Tide Calendar. We pick one of these up each year to hang up in Seabreeze, as it's great to be able to easily look and see what the tide is going to be at any given time on any given date. We also get one to keep at our home back in the US, as it's a nice calendar, plus it has the tides. If you're in RP in the next month or 2, I highly recommend you stop in and buy one!!!
