Recognizing that talk is cheap, and that actions* will always speak louder than words, here are some words:
Experience Agave stands in solidarity with all immigrants and refugees—regardless of their legal status.
We oppose state repression and authoritarianism, including that being practiced by the current kleptocratic and kakistocratic regime.
This post is NOT an invitation to debate (immigration policy, protest tactics, or anything else). It is a modest (and possibly useless) statement of where we stand on some basic issues. Please DO feel free to take this post as an invitation to unfollow, disengage, and/or take your business elsewhere if you disagree. We love serving guests who appreciate and support actual Mexican people, and have no interest in serving folks who enjoy Mexican cultural products while opposing progress for Mexican workers and families.
For Experience Agave,
Clayton Szczech, Founder
Kami Kenna, Senior Tour Coordinator
*As a company and as individuals, we do what we can to support social justice and the communities to which we belong in Mexico. Speaking for myself only, I am always open to constructive criticism, and I also believe such dialogue is most effective when face-to-face or at least outside of the performative venues of social media. -CJS
