You might have came across these pictures and expect them to be like this from your hotel beach… NOT EXACTLY…
Beaches in Zanzibar are certainly among the most beautiful ones in the world… you will have the chance to see shades of blue you did not know existed!
However in order to set your expectations right, here are few things you need to keep in mind while planning your trip:
- low and high tide are REAL 😅 you might have to walk for almost a mile to reach water on low tide… also please wear sea shoes to avoid the nasty sea urchins 😰
- to access these turquoise blue waters you will need a 5 minutes boat ride and you will be blown away… so don’t be scared from asking the local fishermen to take you against a negotiable fee 🧜🏼‍♀️
