🧊🔥 The final day of my month-long cold plunge & sauna experience.

30 days ago, I started this as a challenge to see what would happen if I made myself sit in the heat and cold every day.

What I didn’t expect was how much it would teach me about being present.

When you’re sitting in a sauna and it’s unbearably hot, or you’re standing in a cold plunge and every part of you wants to get out, you have two choices:

Fight the experience… or accept it.

I started practicing simply allowing the heat or cold to exist without immediately labeling it as something I needed to escape.

The cold is cold. The heat is hot. I don’t have to fight either one.

And somehow, that lesson started carrying over into other parts of my life.

It helped me become more present, more focused, and more comfortable sitting quietly with myself. I also found that the experience became a great part of my meditation practice.

🧘‍♂️ Less resistance. More presence.

I’m not going to pretend 30 days transformed my entire life, but it definitely changed the way I approach discomfort.

And maybe that’s the biggest lesson:

You don’t always have to change what you’re experiencing. Sometimes you just have to change your relationship with it.

Day 30 complete. 🧊🔥

Now the question is… do I keep going? 👀

🌴 We stopped by Alquimia Hotel Boutique in Tulum’s Hotel Zone and decided to spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool. Sometimes you just need a few hours of doing absolutely nothing. 😎🌴

The service was great, and as far as we knew, there was no minimum consumption to enjoy the pool, which was a nice surprise.

🍹 They had 2x1 on certain cocktails
🍺 B**r was reasonably priced at around 65 pesos (I believe)
🍔 My friend tried the burger and said it was pretty good
🍋 I went with a fresh-squeezed lemonade
🥤 My friend had the green smoothie and said it was good

Overall, it was a pretty relaxed experience without feeling like we had to spend a fortune.

If you’re looking for a place to chill by a pool in Tulum’s Hotel Zone, this might be one to check out.

🦞🌴 I went to the Tulum Lobster Fest in Tulum to eat as much lobster as possible… and I definitely got my money’s worth! 😂🦞

I started with a lobster brochette 🦞 — absolutely delicious! The lobster was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right.

Next up was a lobster taco 🌮🦞 — fresh, tasty, and packed with flavor.

Then I tried a coconut and lobster dish 🥥🦞. The combination of flavors and textures was amazing, and this was definitely one of the more unique dishes of the festival.

And to finish things off, I had some tacos de canasta 🌮. No lobster in these 😂, but they were still delicious and made for a great ending.

Overall, the Lobster Fest was a pretty awesome way to explore different ways of preparing lobster and discover some new flavors.

🦞 Which dish would you have tried first? 👇
