Dear Malaysians and Eligible Non-Malaysians in Bangladesh đ§đŠ,
*QUARANTINE CHARGES IN MALAYSIA FOR MALAYSIANS AND ELIGIBLE NON-MALAYSIANS*
In relation to Covid-19, effective *1 June 2020*, Malaysians returning to Malaysia from abroad are required to pay *RM1,050.00* for the mandatory 14-day quarantine at a designated quarantine centre.
Non-Malaysians who are eligible to enter Malaysia during the Movement Control Order period are required to pay *RM2,100.00* for the same purpose.
You may not choose the location of your quarantine centre.
In this regard, all Malaysians and eligible non-Malaysians travelling back to Malaysia from Bangladesh on or after 1 June 2020 are required to have:
(1) Surat Aku Janji dan Indemniti Orang di Bawah Pengawasan (âSurat Aku Janjiâ) / Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity Person Under Surveillance (LOU); and
(2) Permission to Travel to Malaysia Letter â issued by the High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

âĸ The witness section on page 3 of the LOU will be signed by a government officer when you arrive at KLIA.

(2) Permission to Travel to Malaysia Letter
âĸ Please email the High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka, Bangladesh ([email protected]) scanned copies of the completed LOU and your passport. Also provide a copy of your MyKad / Malaysian ID / Malaysia Long Term Social Visit Pass (as applicable).
âĸ Please give the High Commission a minimum of three daysâ notice to prepare the Letter. The Letter issued by the High Commission is only for travellers departing from Bangladesh.

Upon arrival in Malaysia, you will be required to present the LOU and the High Commissionâs Letter to representatives of the National Disaster Management Agency at KLIA.
Husband and wife are required to quarantine in separate rooms.
Children under 12 years of age may stay in the same room with his/her parent. Children 12 years and above will be quarantined in his/her own room. The quarantine cost for each child is the same (RM1,050.00).
Children under 12 years of age may choose which parent to quarantine with, if accompanied by both parents upon arrival in Malaysia.
