Job Title: Homestay Operations Manager
Location: DeLuma Homestay, Penang
Employment Type: [Full-time 9-6PM 6 working day]
Salary Range: [RM3500-RM4500]

Job Overview:
DeLuma Homestay is looking for a hands-on Homestay Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure a seamless experience for our guests. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, and guest issue resolution. The ideal candidate will ensure that all units are well-maintained, cleaned on time, and meet our high hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning Team Supervision:

Lead, schedule, and oversee the housekeeping team (Azeem, Saki, and Sham) across all units.
Conduct quality checks to ensure cleanliness meets DeLuma Homestay’s standards.
Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene, and efficiency.
Coordinate deep-cleaning schedules and manage turnaround times for check-ins/check-outs.
2. Maintenance Coordination:

Identify, report, and resolve maintenance issues such as plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs.
Possess knowledge of the building’s maintenance systems to ensure efficient troubleshooting.
Work with contractors and in-house maintenance personnel for timely repairs.
Maintain a checklist for routine maintenance to prevent major issues.
3. Inventory Management:

Track and manage stock levels for cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other household essentials.
Ensure restocking is done on time to prevent shortages.
Maintain expense records related to inventory and maintenance supplies.
4. Guest Issue Resolution:

Address guest complaints and service requests in a timely manner.
Communicate with the customer service team regarding guest complaints to ensure smooth resolution.
Ensure all units are guest-ready, resolving any last-minute issues before check-ins.
Follow up on guest feedback to improve service quality.
5. General Operations & Coordination:

Prepare reports on cleaning performance, maintenance needs, and guest satisfaction.
Coordinate with the front desk or booking platforms about unit availability and readiness.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and hospitality standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping management, or operations.
Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks efficiently.
Basic maintenance knowledge of the building’s structure and facilities.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Familiarity with booking platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com is a plus.
