有一段时间，老板其实真的想过放弃。

从旧档口搬到新环境的时候，花了很多心血去装修、去调整。不是为了“做高级”，而是想让大家可以坐得更舒服、吃得更安心 ❤️ 但刚开始，很多人并不理解。

“换地方了，肯定贵了。”， “以前那个味道还在吗？”那段时间，店里的人越来越少。 每天看着空下来的位置， 心里真的会怀疑是不是自己做错了。

甚至一度想过， 不如把生意顶出去算了。但最后，还是舍不得。因为从小到大，守着这一炉火，早就变成了生活的一部分 🔥

记得小时候十岁左右，连开麦芽糖罐都弄伤过手。
别人看到的，只是一只烤鸭 🦆但对我们来说，是几十年每天重复的坚持。

好在三个月后，熟悉的客人开始慢慢回来。有人带朋友来， 有人一家人回来坐 ❤️🥢

他们发现，味道还是那个味道，
只是现在，能吃得更舒服、更自在了。

一路做到今天，新扬威守着的，从来不只是生意。而是那份 “不想让味道变掉”的坚持 🔥🧡

There was a time when the boss almost gave up.

When Sun Yeong Wai moved from the old stall to a new space, it wasn’t about looking more expensive — it was about giving customers a more comfortable place to dine ❤️

But at first, many didn’t understand. “New place? Must be pricey.” “Is the old taste still there?”

Customers became fewer, and there were moments of doubt. The thought of giving up even crossed his mind.

But after guarding this fire for so many years 🔥walking away was never easy.

Since young, even opening malt syrup cans had left scars on his hands.
To others, it’s just roast duck 🦆but behind it, is decades of persistence.

Three months later, familiar faces slowly returned ❤️🥢
Families came back, friends brought friends, and they realised — the taste never changed.

Until today, Sun Yeong Wai continues to protect that same flavour and belief 🔥🧡

有些事情一开始，真的没有想那么多。

1993年，那时候的新扬威，只是路边一个小小的烧腊档。

没有什么品牌的概念，也没有想过以后会变成怎样，
就是单纯为了生活，每天把这一炉火顾好。

从早开始准备，挂鸭、看火、翻鸭，一站，就是一整天。

那时候学东西，没有人慢慢教你，
就是在旁边看，看久了才敢自己动手。

一只鸭慢慢做，有时候做不好，就记住下次不能再错。那几年，说不辛苦是假的。有时候一天热下来，整个人都是汗。

有时候生意不好，心里也会想：
这样做，能撑多久？但隔天，还是因为坚持信念一样开档。

因为心里一直有个很简单的想法： 既然有人愿意来买，就要把东西做好给人家。

做到现在其实也没想太复杂，希望的就是把每天的那一只鸭，好好地烤出来回馈给支持我们的顾客。

Some things don’t begin with a big plan.

Back in 1993, Sun Yeong Wai was just a small roadside roast stall —
no brand, no long-term vision, just a way to make a living and keep the fire going each day.

Every morning started the same: hanging the ducks, watching the fire, standing there for hours. There was no step-by-step teaching, only watching, learning, and slowly doing it right.

Each duck was done carefully. Mistakes were remembered, so they wouldn’t happen again.

Those years were tough. Long hours, intense heat, and days when you wondered how long it could last. But the stall still opened the next day.

Because the belief was simple: if someone is willing to come, you should do it properly for them.

Even today, that thinking hasn’t changed. Just roast each duck well, every single day for the people who keep coming back.
