You know it can't be good when the squirrels aren't interested in eating the fruit....

Yes, meager durian harvest this season, we are not expecting much at all, if the durian falls, 😢 it'll most likely be bland or half under ripe.

While they're on the trees, they look photogenic and almost like festive ornaments 🎄

Hard to believe that it's less than 50 days to 2026!

We haven't had any produce to show for this year, fruit harvest has been nonexistent. It's not for lack of fertilizing, it's 100% due to the weather pattern.

Let's hope 2026 will bring some stability, so that we can be more productive.

Might have to change the name of our place to Borneo Orchid House, and grow more orchids instead!

We haven't had any fruit harvest in a year! The branches on our durian trees should be sagging with spiky fruits and daily supply of pineapples. Blame it on the weather...Constant rain since last September and no dry season this year. Who knows, maybe there's gonna be extreme drought next year, we hope not! Balance is the key.

At least the Bulbophyllum orchids are taking turns to bloom. Here's our Bulbo Patent King popping away!

First sighting of little durian flower buds...but we are keeping our excitement in check, it's only early days, and it's an uphill battle...if the flowers don't get washed out from the rain, squirrels will be eating the petals like salad.

After the hard work of pollination done by the bats 🦇 and bees 🐝, and only if the weather holds out, 🤞 we may have little durians, then comes Screwy, Rocky, Scrat and the gang 🐿️...they'll tax almost the entire crop if the yield is low...

Our well fed dogs? Well they occasionally pretend to chase squirrels away when they notice their hooman watching them.

The pizza oven! We've given it a scrub and touch up, ready for 🔥

Built 12 years ago by multi talented Luke, whom we hosted thru Workaway. A month before Luke came over to volunteer, we emailed some sketches over to him and worked out materials needed for the project, and it turned out perfect! 🍕 Takes less than 3mins to cook and we've even tried making durian pizza!! Yup
