Exploring the wonders of the rainforest with Kinabalu International School. We recently took their students on their annual Geography and Biology field trip to Kawang Rainforest Reserve. Hands-on learning at its best, interactive sessions brought their syllabus to life amidst the lush rainforest. Another great trip with KIS students!

It's been a whirlwind of a year, especially the second half, keeping us so busy that we've been quiet here on social media. But behind the scenes, we've been hard at work, doing what we love most—creating meaningful adventures and unforgettable moments outdoors.

As the year comes to a close, we want to thank all of you—our incredible clients, partners, and supporters—for being part of our journey. Your trust and enthusiasm mean the world to us.

Throwback Thursday to our incredible Biology and Geography field studies trip with Kinabalu International School! Throughout the first half of 2024, we've been busy as bees, diving deep into exploration and learning. From discovering unique biodiversity to unraveling geographical marvels, every moment has been a journey of discovery and growth.

As we near the end of our International award/DofE season, we reflect on the memories created and the knowledge gained. It's been 6 months filled with challenges and triumphs. From field notes to friendships forged, each experience has shaped us as a team!

Now, as schools prepare to break for summer holidays, we carry with us the spirit of adventure and the lessons learned. Here's to more discoveries and adventures for the next 6 months.

We have had an amazing time with these terrific students and teachers of Dubai International Academy. We have been taking Year 5s & 6s out to Borneo since 2016 so that is quite a number of trees added to the Borneo rainforest by Dubai International Academy! Thanks again DIA!

Exploring marine conservation at its finest! DIA students dive into learning at Tunku Abdul Rahman Park on Mamutik Island, snorkelling among vibrant corals and learning about marine life. Plus, they got creative at Tanjung Aru Marine Eco Centre, turning coffee capsules into beautiful art pieces!

An eye-opening day at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Borneo Sunbear Sanctuary, and Rainforest Discovery Centre with year 5 & 6 DIA students! Witnessing firsthand the importance of conservation efforts in protecting endangered species. From the playful antics of orangutans to the gentle charm of sunbears, we're reminded of the vital role we play in preserving these incredible creatures and their habitats.

Planting the seeds of change in Borneo! Today, North Star Borneo instructors and DIA students joined forces with KOPEL to plant 50 trees in the Borneon rainforest, igniting a beacon of hope for conservation. From nurturing saplings in the tree nursery to learning from the wisdom of the local community, they've truly embraced the spirit of environmental stewardship. Ending the day with vibrant cultural dances, tea, and local treats, it's a celebration of unity and commitment to our planet. Kudos to these amazing students for their dedication and contribution!

Traversing from coast to coast, DIA students are immersing themselves in the diverse beauty of Borneo. After a night in a traditional longhouse, they're now nestled in chalets amidst the lush rainforest. On the river safari they have encountered primates, crocodiles, hornbills, and even the majestic Bornean Pygmy elephants!
