The Sabah My Second Home (Sabah-MM2H) programme is a state-specific long-term residency initiative launched on July 1, 2024, managed by Sabah's Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment. It aims to attract foreign nationals to live, invest, and retire in Sabah, Malaysia.
Key Features:
* Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 30 years old and from countries with diplomatic relations with Malaysia.
*Financial Requirements: Individuals must place a fixed deposit of RM500,000 in a local Sabah bank.Monthly income requirements are RM10,000 for individuals and RM15,000 for families.
*Property Purchase: Applicants are required to purchase a high-rise property in Sabah valued at a minimum of RM600,000. Affordable housing schemes are excluded.
*Residency Permit: The programme grants a 10-year visa, initially issued for 5 years, with renewal subject to compliance checks. Participants must reside in Sabah for at least 30 days per year.
*Restrictions: Holders are not permitted to work in Malaysia under this programme.
*Family Inclusion: Spouses, parents, parents-in-law, and children under 21 can also apply under the same pass.
