The celebration was graced and officiated by 𝐘𝐁𝐡𝐠. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐨’ 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐛𝐮 𝐒𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐭, together with distinguished guests from government agencies, tourism industry associations, media representatives, and industry stakeholders. The event featured vibrant cultural performances showcasing the unique heritage of Sabah and Sarawak, while special souvenirs were distributed to arriving international visitors, creating a warm and memorable Malaysian welcome experience.🎭🎁✨

As two of Malaysia’s most significant harvest festivals, Tadau Kaamatan and Hari Gawai symbolize gratitude, prosperity, unity, and cultural harmony. The celebration provided an excellent platform to promote Malaysia’s rich multicultural identity and strengthen appreciation for the diverse traditions that make our nation truly unique. 🌾🤝🇲🇾

✨The significance of the occasion was further elevated by the presence of distinguished guests, including 𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐞, Deputy Director General (Promotion II) of Tourism Malaysia; 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧, Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Malaysia; and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐘𝐞𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor. Their presence underscored the strong commitment of both nations and tourism stakeholders towards enhancing bilateral cooperation, cultural exchange, and tourism development.

The festival featured a vibrant lineup of activities and performances, including ✨ Traditional Malaysian Cultural Performances, 🦁 Lion Dance Performances, 🥁 Silat Martial Arts Demonstrations, 🎶 Live Band Entertainment, and the crowd-favorite 🍨 DIY Lychee & Durian Dessert Experience. Blending the iconic flavors of China and Malaysia, the event beautifully symbolized the harmony of cultures, traditions, and friendships that have flourished over the past 52 years of diplomatic relations.

Held from 📅 26.05.2026 to 28.05.2026 in Shanghai, China, ITB China 2026 delivered three impactful days of continuous engagement at the Malaysia Pavilion, generating strong participation and fruitful results. 🌏🤝

The B2B business matching sessions brought together tourism buyers, travel agents, trade partners and industry stakeholders from China and other regions to connect with Malaysian delegates at the Malaysia Pavilion. Through productive meetings and discussions, participants explored collaboration opportunities in inbound tourism, cruise tourism, destination marketing and future partnerships, creating valuable connections and opening up more opportunities for Malaysia’s tourism industry. 📈✈️🤝

Other than B2B, the stage cultural performance attracted buyers, traders and visitors to the Malaysia Pavilion, creating strong crowd flow and continuous footfall throughout the exhibition.
