We are seeking an exceptional, professional German speaking Guide and Translator for a prestigious assignment with a luxury cruise ship tour docking in Kuala Lumpur. This is not a standard tour role, it is a position for a diplomatic, articulate, and poised individual who can represent both Kuala Lumpur's vibrant culture and the high service standards expected by discerning cruise guests.
The Role:
You will serve as the primary linguistic and cultural liaison for German speaking guests. Your responsibilities will include:
· Providing fluent, articulate German translation and interpretation throughout the curated tour itinerary.
· Delivering engaging, insightful commentary on Kuala Lumpur’s landmarks, culture, and history.
· Professionally managing guest inquiries, requests, and any unforeseen situations with grace and efficiency.
· Ensuring a seamless, enriching, and memorable experience for all guests.
Who You Are – Our Non-Negotiable Requirements:
· Linguistic Mastery: Native or near native fluency in German (Hochdeutsch) with impeccable grammar and a clear, pleasant voice. Fluency in English is essential.
· Professional Persona: You possess an attractive, trustworthy, and professional demeanor. You are well presented, confident, and capable of building immediate rapport with an international clientele.
· Exceptional Composure: Proven ability to handle complaints and criticism with diplomacy, patience, and effective problem solving skills. You turn potential challenges into demonstrations of outstanding service.
· Unwavering Responsibility: You are meticulously organized, punctual, and understand the critical importance of timing and protocol in a cruise ship itinerary.
