Effective 1st April 2025, Singapore Airlines customers will not be allowed to charge portable power banks via the onboard USB ports, or use power banks to charge their personal devices, throughout the duration of the flight.

The SIA Group complies with the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations regarding the carriage of power banks, which are classified as lithium batteries.

This means power banks must be carried in cabin baggage on all SIA flights and are not permitted in checked baggage. Customers may bring power banks with a capacity of up to 100Wh without special approval, while those between 100Wh and 160Wh require airline approval.

We seek customers’ understanding that safety will always be our top priority.

*Important Update on Umrah Regulations for 1446 AH*

Internal Supervision Until the End of the 1446 Umrah Season:
Operational restrictions and deadlines for the Umrah season:

1. Last date for Umrah visa issuance: 1st Shawwal 1446 (March 30, 2025).
2. Last date for Umrah pilgrims to enter the Kingdom: 15th Shawwal 1446 (April 13, 2025).
3. Final departure deadline for Umrah pilgrims: 1st Dhu al-Qi’dah 1446 (April 29, 2025).

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, along with the relevant authorities, will enforce penalties for any violations or exceeding the specified deadlines.

We hope we have provided you with excellent service this year and look forward to continuing to serve you next year.

Important Notes ⛔
• It is strongly recommended to submit requests and process visas before Ramadan or within the first week of Ramadan, as the quota system may be implemented early, similar to last year.
• Visa processing will not be available on March 30 due to Eid al-Fitr.
