*Important Announcement*
🚨 “KL LOCKDOWN 23–28 OCTOBER!”
Starting from October 23 to October 28, Kuala Lumpur will experience a total traffic lockdown, especially around KLCC and Putrajaya. Meanwhile, the Golden Triangle area in Kuala Lumpur will be closed during peak hours of the summit.
This is due to the arrival of all ASEAN leaders and dialogue partners from the US, China, South Africa, Finland, and an estimated 12,000 other delegates expected to attend. It was reported that the President of Russia will arrive after the US President’s departure.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that 20,000 security personnel from across the country have been mobilized around the summit venues to manage traffic and maintain security during the event.
The Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre (KLC3) announced that the following roads will be under total lockdown:

Jalan Binjai
Persiaran KLCC
Jalan Tun Razak
Jalan Parlimen
Jalan Bukit Bintang
Jalan Imbi

Jalan Perak

Highways and expressways involved:
Maju Expressway (MEX)
North–South Expressway (PLUS) from Sungai Buloh towards Jalan Duta
Elite Expressway (KLIA–Putrajaya)
New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) from Subang to Jalan Duta
Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE)
KL–Seremban Expressway (Sungai Besi–City Centre)
Meanwhile, highways at KLIA, Putrajaya Ring Road, and Subang heading toward Kuala Lumpur will experience temporary closures from time to time.
The Public Service Department (JPA) will allow all civil servants living within a 25km radius of affected areas to apply for work from home (WFH) during this period. Those who have no official business are advised to avoid entering the listed areas from October 23 to 28.
