Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA) was initially incorporated by a group of concerned and dedicated Malaysian Chinese travel agents. It was officially registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) on 14th Sept 1992. It the 9 years of existences, MCTA has not had a home to call its own until 23rd Nov 2001. With the supports and contributions of the members, the association managed to p
urchase its secretariat office which is made up of 1,406 square feet of office space at 2 – 3A, Jalan Pandan 2/1, Pandan Jaya, 55100Kuala Lumpur. The association thanked Dr Ng Yen Yen, who was the Deputy Minister of Culture, Arts & Tourism, for being the VIP of the MCTA Building Opening Ceremony on 1st Feb 2002. These days, the association has grown up and become a “teenager”, where the secretariat team has expanded from 1 staff to 5 staff (full & part time), from less than 50 to nearly 300 members nationwide and from none to affiliated with 3 national tourism bodies, i.e. National Tourism Council Malaysia (NTCM), The Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI) &The Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.
