Usually, our travellers meet Mauri Riestola in Finland โ€”
out there under the Arctic sky, helping chase the Northern Lights together โœจ

But this time, he came all the way to Malaysia and visited us here in the office!

It still feels quite amazing seeing someone we normally associate with snow, winter jackets, and aurora nightsโ€ฆ standing together with Mr. Joshua in Kuala Lumpur instead!

Over the years, many of our Northern Lights travellers have gotten to know Mauri through the journeys, stories, and experiences shared along the way.

And honestly, moments like this remind us that travel is more than just itineraries โ€” itโ€™s the people and friendships built across different parts of the world ๐Ÿค

What started as an idea has now become a completed journey ๐Ÿค

Led by Mr Joshua, this first Central Asia route has taken the group across Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan โ€” through landscapes, cultures, and moments that feel completely different from one another.

From standing at the edge of Charyn Canyon, to quiet mornings by Kaindy Lake, rides up into the mountains at Shymbulak, and glimpses of local life in places like Bishkekโ€™s bazaar, each day adds something new to the journey.

Some come for the places, some for the experience, and for many, it becomes something more โ€” a journey across the Stan countries that feels like a milestone in itself. And somewhere along the way, it all comes together.

Not just as memories of where youโ€™ve been, but something you carry with you long after the journey ends.
