๐๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ - ๐๐ข๐ง๐ช๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ค ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐!
On the morning of Day 6, we went to the enchanting medieval town of ๐๐ข๐๐ง๐. There, we visited the beautiful ๐๐ข๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ โช and strolled through the lively cobbled streets of ๐๐ข๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ. In the afternoon, we found ourselves in the breathtaking landscapes of ๐๐๐ฅ ๐โ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ ๐. The beauty of the rolling hills and vineyards ๐ left us speechless. Of course, we could not miss capturing the iconic postcard view ๐ธ on the hilltop with the cypress trees in the background. For dinner, we had a wonderful ๐๐๐ซ๐ฆ-๐ญ๐จ-๐ญ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ at a charming Tuscan farmhouse. We enjoyed a chefโs choice menu, where each dish was a surprise. Every course was memorable, but the standout was the ๐๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐ขโ light, crisp, and utterly unforgettable ๐.
The next day, we explored ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ง๐จ, a medieval town famous for its ancient towers that still shape its iconic skyline. We joined a guided tour through the town, stopping at the historic ๐๐ข๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐ ๐ถ๐ผโโ๏ธ, home to the townโs ancient well. A sweet highlight of the day? Mr. Joshua treated each of us to ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐จ ๐ฆ from Gelateria Dondoli โ the Gelato World Champion 2024! For lunch, we escaped the crowds and dined at a cozy local restaurant where we had a hearty Ribollita (Tuscan soup), hand-rolled Pici pasta ๐, Tortelli di Patate Mugellani (potato-filled pasta), and Cantucci Toscani (Tuscan almond biscotti). That evening, we arrived in La Spezia and indulged in a sumptuous seafood dinner. The star of the table was an impressive ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ featuring prawns ๐ค, langoustines ๐ฆ, and octopus ๐, beautifully arranged with colorful vegetables and fruit. We also enjoyed grilled fish ๐, fried calamari, and ended the night with classic Italian desserts โ tiramisu and a silky strawberry panna cotta.
On Day 8, we strolled through ๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ณ๐ข๐, passing by the townโs traditional fish market, giving us a glimpse into daily life in an Italian harbour town โจ. Afterwards, it was finally time to take the train to the first village of ๐๐ข๐ง๐ช๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ - ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ซ๐! The sight of the colourful cliffside houses ๐๏ธ stacked against the rugged coast took our breath away, just like a scene straight out of a movie! The second village we visited was ๐๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ณ๐ณ๐, a vibrant village buzzing with locals and tourists lounging in the sun โ๏ธ, filling the piazza with chatter and laughter. After lunch, we went to our final stop - ๐๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฅ๐, where we hiked to a scenic cliffside bar and enjoyed a refreshing cocktail ๐น.
Day 9 took us to ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ ๐๏ธ, where we enjoyed a premier shopping experience, browsing stylish boutiques with luxury brands ๐ at incredible discounts. We then had our last dinner in Italy and savoured a delicious risotto with oxtail.
On the final day, we headed to ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ง and explored the city before taking the flight back home โ๏ธ. We saw some of the famous landmarks, including the magnificent ๐๐ฎ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ and the stunning ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐จ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐.
This trip was truly unforgettable from start to finish โ filled with scenic landscapes, rich culture, and mouthwatering Italian cuisine ๐ฅฐ. But beyond the sights and flavours, it brought us so much joy and laughter. The memories and friendship we created together will be cherished for a lifetime โค๏ธ!
