Happy World Heritage Day!

I'm delighted to share that the official poster and Facebook Event for my upcoming exhibition, Echoes in Between: Penang as Living Archive, are now live.

This exhibition brings together 13 artists and one community contributor to explore Penang's living heritage through memory, artistic responses, material traces, and the everyday practices that continue to shape our city. Rather than treating heritage as something fixed in the past, Echoes in Between invites visitors to see it as a living archive—continually created, negotiated, and cared for by communities.

I am deeply grateful to Lembaga Pembangunan Seni Visual Negara (LPSVN), through the Tabung Bantuan Seni (TBS), for believing in and supporting this independent curatorial initiative. My sincere thanks also go to the Penang Art Council for its support, and to ChinaHouse for partnering with us as our venue.
Independent cultural projects are rarely realised alone. They depend on institutions willing to invest in ideas, artists who generously share their work, collaborators who contribute their time and expertise, and communities who believe that culture matters.

Dear ICOMOS & ICOM colleagues,

I would like to share a new initiative that I have been developing under People Ideas Culture (PIC Media) called CultureAtlas — Mapping Stories. Connecting Communities.

CultureAtlas is envisioned as a collaborative digital ecosystem that supports museums, heritage organisations, cultural institutions, local authorities and communities in documenting, interpreting and sharing cultural heritage through interactive storytelling, cultural mapping and digital engagement.

The idea is to create a flexible platform that could support museum collections, heritage trails, cultural routes, community archives, exhibitions, public art and intangible cultural heritage, while encouraging collaboration across the heritage sector.

At this stage, I am looking for a small number of organisations interested in exploring the possibility of becoming pilot partners or simply sharing feedback on the concept. If you think your organisation or project may be a good fit, or if you know of someone who might be interested, I would be very happy to have a conversation.
