MATTA Fair April 2026 officially commenced today, 4 April 2026, at MITEC Kuala Lumpur, marking the 58th edition and the largest MATTA Fair to date.
The opening ceremony was officiated by YB Raven Kumar Krishnasamy, Johor State Unity, Heritage and Culture Committee Chairman, representing YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar Johor, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration between industry and government in strengthening Malaysia’s tourism sector.
This edition spans 40,820 square metres across 10 halls, featuring 2,051 booths and 332 participating organisations. Participation includes 210 tour and travel agencies, 64 hotels and resorts, 11 theme parks, 6 national tourism organisations, 11 state tourism offices, and 29 other travel-related service providers, reflecting strong industry confidence and sustained momentum across the sector.
The Fair continues to serve as one of the region’s key travel marketplaces, connecting industry players directly with consumers and supporting business transactions across the tourism value chain.
This year also reflects a clear uplift in presentation standards, with more creative and immersive booth designs across the halls, alongside the largest-ever Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) pavilion, signalling continued investment and a shift towards more world-class exhibition quality.
MATTA Fair April 2026 is supported by Malaysia’s Favourite Destination, Johor; International Favourite Destination, Macao; our Official Airline Partner and Premier Sponsor, MAG; and our Official Bank Partner, RHB Bank. Their continued partnership plays an important role in strengthening the platform and supporting the growth of the industry.
As Malaysia moves towards Visit Malaysia 2026, MATTA Fair remains a key platform in driving collaboration, supporting industry readiness, and reinforcing the resilience and competitiveness of the tourism sector.
