When you landed at Kuching International Airport and plan to travel towards Kuching city, you will see an eye-catching yellowage building on you right hand side just about reaching the second flyover. That is Pine Garden Hotel. The hotel is relatively new. If you plan to pick a hotel that is new, comfortable ,reasonable price and at a strategic location, this might be a choice for you.
Besides Pine Garden Hotel is CityOne , where you can make your shopping just at walking distance. Further walking distance towards airport you will find a place called 101. Here , you will find a lot of delicious local foods at night. It is advisable if you travel to kuching with your own transport just leave your car park at the hotel and walking to this place because it is a lot of cars and you hardly get a car park.
When first i met the owner of the hotel, I just curious why he named the hotel "Pine", then I find out that because the chinese name of the owner got a word "松“,which means “松树” -Pine Tree. Furthermore, pine trees is a long live tree which can reach 100 - 1000 years. It might be the owner wishes his hotel business is a long live business, I guess Anyways, the owner of the hotel is a chatty and nice person, you just feel like talking with a friend. Surprisingly he is a Dato!!!
