✨ Day 2 | Discovering the Hidden Beauty of Chenzhou 🇨🇳💚
What an incredible second day in Chenzhou, Hunan!
The day began with a hearty international breakfast at our hotel, offering a wide selection of Chinese and Western favourites—fueling us for another exciting day of exploration.
From there, we continued our journey to the breathtaking Dongjiang Lake, where emerald-green waters, misty mountains, and tranquil scenery create one of China’s most picturesque landscapes. Every viewpoint feels like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting.
As night fell, Chenzhou revealed another side of its charm. We strolled through the beautifully illuminated ancient-style streets, admired the glowing bridges reflected on the river, and soaked in the vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere of the city. The combination of traditional architecture and modern lighting makes the night scenery absolutely unforgettable.
To end the day, we enjoyed an authentic Hunan dinner at the famous Chen Chu Lao Wei Duck Courtyard (陈厨老味鸭小院). Signature dishes including steamed fish, handmade buns, stir-fried local vegetables, braised duck, and traditional Hunan flavours gave us a true taste of Chenzhou’s culinary heritage.
Every moment today reminded us why Chenzhou is one of China’s most underrated destinations—beautiful nature, delicious food, comfortable accommodation, and stunning night views all in one place.

晚餐则来到当地人推荐的陈厨老味鸭小院，品尝最地道的湖南风味。鲜美的清蒸鱼、香气扑鼻的鸭肉料理、现蒸馒头、时令蔬菜以及多道特色湘菜，每一道都让人回味无穷，也让我们更深入体验郴州的饮食文化。
