Dwarkamai is a masjid (mosque), located just nearby Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir. The Dwarkamai is a simple structure, which now have been refurbished. However years back, it is a dilapidated masjid. Shri Sai Baba stayed here, when He came to Shirdi with the marriage procession (further details in Sai Satcharita). Sai Baba called the mosque as His mother, and he stayed inside the mosque just like a baby in a mother's womb. He respected and revered the mosque so much, just like a mother. This is why he calls the mosque Dwarka (Shri Krishna's country) Mai (Mother).

Thousands of devotees thronged the masjid to seek Shri Sai's blessings and miracles. The once dilapidated masjid which was ignored by many, became a heaven for all, seeking solace and solutions. The dwarkamai masjid had witnessed thousand of miracles and blessings of Shri Sai. During the life of Shri Sai, he never agreed for even a stone of the masjid to be removed or repaired. However his devotees did some repairs as the condition deteriorated.

Dwarkamai is a place with equal importance just like Shri Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir. Those who visit Shirdi, must and shall visit Dwarkamai. Sai Baba is strongly present in Dwarkamai, and until now many people experience miracles here. This place is the favorite of Baba, and just like Him, we also must visit and worship the Mother in Dwarkamai, and She will bless us like her child. Come to Dwarkamai and you shall feel Shri Sai.

This samadhi is the exact place where Sai Baba's venerated physical body is laid to rest in 1918. This is the centre point of Shirdi, where thousands, and millions devotees flock to everyday. However Baba is not resting here. He is well alive here! He listens to every devotees prayer here. He blesses all devotees here.

We shall lay all our pride, ego and greed to rest, and make our honesty and kindness alive. This samadhi is a true evidence of Shri Sai, who promised his flesh and bones will still speak to his devotees. Come here, and you will know that Sai Baba is more alive than ever, after his physical body is laid to rest. Sai Baba left his mortal body, to reach all his devotees world wide. This is why the devotion to Baba and his blessings reaches more and more people around the world day by day.

This very spot is where millions of devotees became ecstatic, and forgot what they actually wish for, and they only wish that they can come to this very spot again and again for many many more times.

The Samadhi of Sai Baba in Shirdi, is now a magnificent mandir (temple) as per the photo. Shirdi is around 7 hrs drive from Mumbai, or 4 hrs drive from Pune. The temple is the eternal rest place for the physical body of Shri Sai. He himself choose to lie here, and the full story can be read in Sai Satcharitra.

Although his body is put to rest in the temple, but his soul and presence can be felt in all parts of Shirdi. Each and every trees, stones, flowers and sand in Shirdi, tells us the story of the living God who walked on earth. He also take form of all animals roaming around Shirdi.

It is pure bliss walking on the soil of Shirdi. When you are truly devoted to Shri Sai, you will not feel Shirdi is a place in a foreign land. You will feel just like home. Why is it like that? It is because Shri Sai is the one who brings you to Shirdi. We do not go Shirdi as per our choice. We can only go Shirdi when He calls you.

There are a lot of stories whereby a person with money, passport and flight tickets still fail to step on the soil of Shirdi, and people without anything, still manage to have the darshan of Shri Sai in Shirdi. It is his wish to see you in Shirdi. And when he wishes to see you, there is no power in the world can stop you.

Sai Baba of Shirdi, i a spiritual guru and saint, who lived in the village of Shirdi, Maharashtra since the mid 18's to early 19's. He attained samadhi in the year 1918, and His Samadhi Mandir (Temple) is now a grand pilgrimage center in Shirdi. His devotees have been growing continuously since the time he was seen in Shirdi, up until now. Many have experienced his divine intervention, blessings, cures and many many miracles.

You don't need to go Shirdi to get his blessings. Just an honest thought of Shri Sai, or an honest deed to the poor and needy will ensure Shri Sai Baba's full blessings and care for you. He care for us like a mother, and teaches us like a strict teacher whose only aim is to ensure the success of His students.

His physical presence is not needed, for you to feel his presence with you. Just think of him, and do kind deeds to other's, Shri Sai will come to you, as the famous saying You do not go to Shri Sai Baba, but he chooses and comes to you, and when he comes to you, you will go to him.

Start with a chant of Om Sai Ram, or visit any nearest Baba center or shrine near you, and you will feel the differences in your life.
