“Wait… that’s us.” 😭
My father grew up on THIS island.
Years later, life brought me back here, to the island that shaped my father’s childhood and become the place where I build a dream of my own.
This billboard photo was sent by a school friend who was walking through KLIA Terminal 1 Arrival Hall. A billboard!!! 😱
Hidden among the images promoting Langkawi is a familiar sight: the paddy fields of Padang Matsirat and, right there in the middle, Ezu Isle Langkawi.
No logo.
No mention.
No advertisement.
Just standing there, representing a place that has given so much to my family.
A small guesthouse becoming part of the story that Malaysia shares with the world.
For a place built with tears, sweat, and love, this moment means everything. ❤️
