Our Background

AIRWORLD TRAVEL & TOURS SDN BHD was established by Datuk John Lim (Former Mayor of Kota Kinabalu) in 1986. In 1995, Dato' Seri D'Raja Winston Liaw (also Chairman of Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agent) bought over the company and from there on, the company grew rapidly, with staff strength of fifty now. Our main office is located at Kota Kinabalu and has branch offices in Ta

wau, Miri and Kuching. Airworld is also a wholesaler in Sandakan, Labuan, Lahad Datu, Bintulu, Sibu, Pontianak, Balikpapan and Tarakan. We will be expanding our business covers west Malaysia and other neighbour countries in the coming future with internet website online booking. Due to overwhelming demand, we started to charter flights in 2000, to provide cheaper packages to China. Charter flights include Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Changsha, Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu. Today, we have brought more than 15,000 passengers from Sabah to overseas via Charter Flights and it’s still increasing. We are an authorized agent for airlines such as Malaysia Airlines, Mas Wing, Royal Brunei Airlines, Dragon Air, Cathay Pacific, Asiana Airlines, Korean Airlines, Thai Airways, China Southern, KLM, Air Canada, Air Asia and many more. We are also specialized on Cruise Holidays, FIT travel packages, travel related services such as visa applications, and travel insurance expert.
