Recently many scammer case reported, especially during festival season.

How to Avoid Homestay Scams:
1. Book on Trusted Platforms - Use Airbnb, booking.com, agoda etc.
2. Check reviews for authenticity
3. Spot Fake Listings by reverse search, maybe the photo from other properties
4. Reasonables rates - Lower than market rates is the strategy to scam, please double confirm before make payment
5. Booking details - try ask more details, location, rooms details, any dispute with the info display on the page.
6. Truecaller - install apps to know the real identity of the callers

If scammed, please make police report.
