Yes, we can visit our new “cousins.” since Filipinos can travel visa-free to Brazil with just a plane ticket and an itinerary. Philippine passport holders can visit the country for 90 days.

Thanks to the Paris 2024 Olympics, Brazilians and Filipinos formed a stronger bond and have officially started calling each other ‘cousins’ online.

Carlos Yulo’s historic double gold win in men’s gymnastics had Brazilians proclaiming, “A Filipino won a gold medal, and it's gold for Brazil, too, because we are cousins.”

The sentiment was echoed when Filipino fans celebrated Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade's vault gold, declaring it a "Brazilippines" victory.
