Global Peace Volunteers Malaysia

Global Peace Volunteers Malaysia GPV is a global network of young people representing the diversity of the human family. We believe 'We can be the Change We Want to See in the World!'.

GPV is a project of Global Peace Foundation. The programme seeks to nurture an environment of communality where a culture of overcoming boundaries, inclusiveness and acceptance is continually cultivated. The program serves to:

1. Inculcate a culture of selflessness and volunteerism among individuals for positive social change and a peaceful world.

2. Nurture virtues and positive character which

improve their personal growth and contribute to the enhancement of their families and communities.

3. Empower underserved communities.

4. Experience and learn about Orang Asli culture.

The Movement Control Order (MCO) has acutely affected the livelihood of Orang Asli (OA) communities. Relying on ad-hoc work such as rubber tapping and working for daily wages such as by selling their produces, many OA villagers have lost their source of income and are struggling to put food on the table for their families.

Thus, we are looking to fundraise RM50,000 to provide food relief for 1000 OA families across Pahang. Each family will receive RM50 worth of essential food items including rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil, bihun, biscuits and salt. These will ensure OA families are provided with adequate nutrition, especially their children.

On 28th September, at 7.30PM we welcome all of you to join us in painting our Malaysian Dream together, at our office - Global Peace Foundation Malaysia in Kelana Centre Point.
