Officially launched in May 2017, BeED is an EdTech Solutions Provider set to change the face of traditional education through its Pedagogically-Focused Integrated Ecosystem.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, BeED attained MSC-status in April 2018, and has a Travel Agency License from the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism and Culture, as well as membership of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA).
BeED has since blazed a path through not just the EdTech sector in Malaysia, but also across the world. We are the first Asian company to graduate from Helsinki-based xEdu, Europe’s leading business accelerator for EdTech startups. BeED Journeys, its Mobile Experiential Learning Platform, is also one of four Asian products to have been certified by the Finnish Education Board, which evaluates the quality of learning solutions based on educational psychology and Finnish pedagogical knowledge.
BeED’s impact has also been recognised at the recent ASEAN Business and Investment Summit in 2018 as it became a finalist in the regional Impact Challenge program, designed to discover innovations which accelerate the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2018, BeED also won the Malaysian APICTA Awards for Inclusion & Community Services in the category of Education, and was shortlisted as well for the ICT Tools for Learning & Teaching Award at the Reimagine Education Awards in San Francisco. The latest award attained by BeED is the GESAwards Scandinavia Public Vote Winner 2019.
In January 2019, BeED joined forces with its European partner, SchoolOS.eu, forming a joint venture to create the revolutionary next-Gen Learning Management System (LMS) as well as to establish an international presence by having offices in Estonia and Belarus.
