Certified Translation & Transliteration for trademark registration application

(i)provide additional information on: trademark owner, if it is related to the trade name & the actual intended meaning, if any. You may also provide information on nature of business for background information.

Trademark registration applicants may submit Certified Transliteration & Translation when they lodge their trademark registration application, along with an application form. In the case of late submission, submit it by providing the applicant‘s File Reference Number (include also class and date of filing) so that Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) could place it in the same file for further action. Certified Translation of Police Report

Immigration visa applicants and passport holders who lost their passport may contact CHEOK TEK HUAT / CHEOK TRANSLATION CENTRE for translation of police report. To save time, you may send me a scanned version first for quotation and translation.

If you apply for a visa to a country such as UK, you may be required to show your current and previous passports, if you have lost any of your passports, you may lodge a police report and then see me for translation of your police report, before filing your visa application.

If you lost your Malaysian passport in China, you may contact me for translation of your police report lodged in China for submission to Immigration Department of Malaysia.

If you lost your Malaysian passport in Malaysia bearing a visa or work pass of a foreign country, you may take the necessary steps based on the requirements of that specific country, to apply for a replacement visa. For New Zealand, you may submit direct to a relevant Immigration New Zealand (INZ) office. For United Arab Emirates (UAE), you may need to lodge another police report in UAE based on the police report lodged in Malaysia, along with the English Translation done in Malaysia.

Other than passport, sn**ch theft victims or travelers may lost important documents such as foreign driver license, employment pass, residence permit etc which necessitate a copy of police report when they apply for a replacement copy from the authorities concerned.

Besides, a police report may be required in many other ways, for instance, police report in relation to run-away maid, for submission to the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Any document in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. A translator in Australia must be accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. A translator outside Australia does not need to be accredited, but they must endorse the translation with their full name, address, telephone number, and details of their qualifications and experience in the language being translated.

As there are many types of marriage certificates, depending on the religion, the issuing authority, year of issue and under what law a certificate is issued, you may need to provide details when you contact me for a quotation.

Malaysian singles who wish to get married in China may see me for translation of single status letter for use in China, subject to a legalization procedure. Upon your return from China, you may see me for translation of supporting documents for submission to National Registration Department of Malaysia in relation to marriage re-registration, which may include foreign marriage certificate and birth certificate of your Chinese spouse. If divorced: Decree nisi absolute / annulment. If widow or widower: Death Certificate of spouse.

Foreigners who do not understand Malay Language and who wish to get married in Malaysia may see CHEOK TEK HUAT / CHEOK TRANSLATION CENTRE for translation (into English /Chinese) of the Declaration Part in Marriage Registration Form, before they proceed to sign the form before the registrar.

Malaysian students studying overseas (Australia, UK, Singapore, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan etc.) or an international school ( be it in Malaysia or overseas) may contact CHEOK TEK HUAT /CHEOK TRANSLATION CENTRE for translation of academic certificates (SPM, STPM, etc.), birth certificate, financial sponsorship documents, name change certificate, marriage certificate/child birth certificate (for student dependent visa), if the need arises.

Students from China studying in Malaysia may need High School Certificate, Diploma Certificate, Degree Certificate, Birth Certificate/Certificate of Household Registration (for student dependent visa). Students from China furthering their studies in other countries such as UK and Australia upon graduation in Malaysia may file application while they are still in Malaysia and see me for translation, if the need arises.

While many universities accept scanned copies of supporting documents, some may want you to send hard copies. Universities especially that of Japan and Korea may want applicants to have their documents certified by their embassy in Kuala Lumpur before sending them by courier.
