Dato’ Dr Kenny Ong took over the leadership of the MTT Group in 1995. MTT Group moved to a 13-storey private headquarter building in 1996 and continued to grown financially and in size. The last decade has seen us enjoying rapid growth in terms of the diversification of our portfolios. We started with the incorporation of the MTT Properties & Development Sdn. in 2005, to venture into the township and property development business. The wealth of expertise and resources in developing and establishing businesses over the years has prompted us to extend our currency of ideas and practical ability to the business community, in terms of information and business solutions. Therefore, Priority Resources Sdn. was reformulated to house the information service & software solution division and the business service solution & consultancy division, offering innovative software & hardware solutions as well as specialised practical business solutions respectively. Our vision to enhance the quality of life and humanity was further realised with the founding of the Prince of Wales Island International School, or POWIIS®. Our school welcomed its first students in 2011, marking another new chapter of our Group, in which our expertise in education are being accumulated. We were especially honoured to celebrate our official opening with the blessing of Her Royal Highness Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah. Despite our diversification, MTT Group has never forgotten its historical roots in logistics. In 2010, MTT Shipping Sdn. was established to own and manage a fleet of container vessels, which significantly adds to the provision of domestic shipping services within Malaysia. Our businesses inventorise a suite of diverse competencies, in which when synergised, can collaboratively offer integrated and dynamic solutions to support the needs of our clients, whether to support in forming ideas, shaping or realizing entrepreneurial ambitions, with the ultimate aim of creating a better quality of life for all.
