How We Started Our Business

SOLID FOOD is the pioneer manufacturer and marketer of Non-Halal processed meat products in Malaysia. The operation was previously established under a listed company well before 1975, with a comprehensive range of products with formulations, recipes, and expertise originating from the UK.

SOLID FOOD acquired the operation lock stock and barrel when the listed company divested the Non-Halal operation in 1994, together with all the facilities and equipment, original formulations and recipes, and decades of manufacturing expertise and experience. With the acquisition, the present management of SOLID FOOD set out to further improve and upgrade the whole operation. In 2003, it moved from its former site in Chan Sow Lin to our modern manufacturing plant in Mah Sing Industrial Park. Substantial investment was made to upgrade the facilities, machinery and equipment to ensure products of the highest quality are manufactured at this plant. The new manufacturing plant was subsequently certified with Veterinary Health Mark (VHM No. 145) by the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia and ISO 22000 for its food safety management system.
