旅游小知识 ｜十年护照更新

📕 如果你的马来西亚护照有效期超过10年，例如10年6个月，建议特别留意！

以前换新护照时，如果旧护照还没有到期，JIM（移民厅）会把旧护照剩余的有效期转移到新护照，最多可增加6个月。
所以就会出现👇

Issue Date：28 Jul 2026
Expiry Date：28 Jan 2037
➡️ Validity：10年6个月

但是最近出现一些10年以上有效期护照，在部分航空公司/航线遇到 Check-in 或登机问题的个案。

因此，目前护照有效期超过10年的朋友，就需要特别注意。

❓那已经拿到10年6个月的护照怎么办？

如果你近期有出国计划，而护照刚好是 10年+，可以考虑到 JIM / UTC 免费更换成10年有效期的新护照。

我今天自己就去UTC办理了👇

Validity：10年6个月

📌 办理方式也不复杂
基本上就是按照换发护照的流程办理，带上旧护照 + IC/MyKad等资料，现场办理即可，只是这次不需要付款。

⚠️ 谁特别需要注意？

如果你的护照：

✅ 有效期超过10年
✅ 最近刚刚Renew
✅ 接下来准备出国
✈️ 尤其已经安排好机票和行程

建议出发前先检查一下护照的 Issue Date & Expiry Date，如果是10年+，可以到JIM查询是否符合免费更换条件。

不要等到机场Check-in才发现问题！
