Formula 1 is officially returning to Sepang! 🇲🇾
Mark your calendars: 2–4 October 2026.
After nearly a decade, Formula 1 is making its long-awaited return to Sepang International Circuit, with Malaysia set to host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.
Positioned between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix, the race will take place at Sepang as part of a special arrangement, subject to final agreements and official sign-off.
F1 President & CEO Stefano Domenicali said the sport is delighted to return to one of Formula 1’s most iconic venues, praising the governments of Bahrain and Malaysia, along with the FIA, for making this extraordinary outcome possible.
Sepang was chosen thanks to its strategic location, world-class facilities, and its ability to fit seamlessly into Formula 1’s global logistics, bringing one of the sport’s most challenging and beloved circuits back to the calendar.
The last Formula 1 race at Sepang was held in 2017. Now, the sound of F1 engines is finally coming back to Malaysia. 🇲🇾🔥
